Out of the library, into the market, we learn the old-fashioned way: by getting our hands dirty. Unnati, our in-house mutual fund, provides future managers with a launch pad to enhance their education and career opportunities through the experience of managing a real investment portfolio.
Investment portfolio: The total investment value is more than Rs. 4 lakhs. We have two separate funds in the form of "Unnati Diversified Fund” - India 's first Student managed 'live' fund.” And “Unnati Mid Cap Fund” floated in 2004.
Functional teams: The group operates through 3 functional teams in a closely interlinked set-up, namely the Securities Analyst Team, the Investment Team and the Management & Corporate Interface Team.
Primary responsibilities: Chief responsibilities of the analysts involve weekly industry sector reports, regular stock recommendations and diligent tracking of various news affecting the stock market movement. The Unnati team has taken a number of corporate initiatives in the field of financial markets, including a Capital Market Survey to highlight the role of market sentiments in the movement of security prices.
