4. Initiatives in Institutional Building:
Initiating the Centre for Excellence in Smart grid at MDI School of Energy Management in collaboration with Ministry of Power¸ Government of India.

Started the EDP for senior executives of the Department of Atomic Energy¸Government of India and Punjab State Electricity Board at MDI.
MoU Signed: MDI and HAREDA¸ Government of Haryana signed MoU for capacity
building in the areas of energy conservation¸ energy efficiency¸ demand
side management and renewable energy.

Initiated the School of Energy Management¸ MDI¸ Gurgaon.

As Dean¸ School of Energy Management: initiated the launch of DRUM Project having a15 months Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Energy Management Programme in collaboration with Ministry of Power¸ Government of India and USAID.

Start of EPGP in Energy Management (self sponsored) from July 2008.

As Dean¸ School of Public Policy and Governance: efforts being taken for increasein intake of participants and self sponsoring of the programme from 2008.

Journal of IMT Ghaziabad: initiated the journal¸ Paradigm¸ IMT Ghaziabad in 1996

13. International Experience:
Dr Atmanand is a widely traveled educationist and has been all over the globe in missions related to education and teaching.
He visited Canada (Montreal) from 12 to 18 September 2010 as a Member of Indian Energy Business Delegation team organized by theWorld Energy Council-IMC and Canadian High Commission to participate in meetings. He also participated in the 21st World Energy Congress at Montreal¸ Canada.

He was invited to join as the Key Expert and deliver keynote and lead presentations in the UNFCCC COP15 Climate Summit held in Copenhagen from 7-18 December 2009

He traveled to Europe and participated in programs of Indian European StudiesCenter in France and Germany in November 2001. He was invited to deliver lectures in Economics in ESCP¸ Paris and University of Wuppertal¸ Germany.

He traveled on an education tour to Washington and New York from 3 to 17May 2009 for academic collaboration and business meetings with USAD and George Mason University¸ Washington

He also presented paper and chaired technical session in the World Conference on Energy¸ Paris (France) in June 2009.
