Daisy Chauhan

Dr. Daisy Chauhan is Associate Professor at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in the area of Organisational Behaviour.  She is a Science graduate from Bhopal University and has done her Masters, and Ph.D. in Psychology from Panjab University, Chandigarh.  Her Ph.D. has been in the area of Executive Stress. Dr. Chauhan has over 20 years of experience in academics.  She has taken part in several research/consultancy assignments and is actively involved in the teaching and training activities at MDI. 

Dr. Chauhan’s areas of  interest  are Stress Management, Personality Profiling, Leadership & Decision Making, Emotional Intelligence, Understanding & Developing Self, Interpersonal Skills, Team Building, Conflict Management, Managing Self for Work-life Balance, Time Management etc. 

Dr. Daisy Chauhan was awarded the Excellence in Continuation Education (Best Trainer) Award four times by MDI - 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014.

Dr. Daisy Chauhan teaches a core course on Organisational Behaviour in the 2-year full-time PGPM , 15-month National Management Pogramme and in the Part-time PGPM Programme.  She also teaches another core course on Journey to Self in the PGP-HRM Programme and an Elective Course on Self Development and Interpersonal Relations in the Part-time Programme.

WORKSHOPS & PROGRAMS

• Was Coordinator for the 33rd IFTDO World Conference on "Value Creation and Human Development" held at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi which had around 130 speakers and around 1000 delegates.  Also presented a paper titled "Overcoming Managerial Obsolescence: The Key to Human Development" in the Conference.  Brought out an edited book on “Creating Value through People” (jointly with Dr. Printam Singh and Dr. Ajay Singh) for the Conference.

• Presented a paper on "Developing Leadership through Potential Appraisal : The Assessment Centre Approach" at the International Roundtable Conference on Developing Leaders, Teams and Organisations, 15-16 December, 2000 at MDI Campus.  The paper published in the book "Developing Leaders, Teams and Organisation" (Eds. Anup Singh & Daisy Chauhan), Excel Books, New Delhi.

• Attended 2-day workshop on "Emotional Intelligence for Business Excellence" organised by FICCI Ladies Organisations at New Delhi during 30-31 May, 2002.

• Attended National Workshop on "Stress Management" organised by the Fitness Society of   India in collaboration with Indian  Institute of Travel &  Tourism Management  at Gwalior during  1-2 March,  2003.

• Invited as an expert to speak on “Stress Management” at a national HR Conference organized by ITS, Modinagar on 22 September, 2007

• Delivered a lecture on Leadership at the annual Sales Conference of Hyundai on 23 December, 2009 at Manesar.

Dr. Chauhan has taken part in several research/consultancy assignments and is actively involved in the teaching and training activities at MDI.  She has designed and conducted training programmes for several organizations such as Bharat Electronics, ONGC, IOC, IFCI, Armed Forces, BSF, MES,  Cairn India, Oberoi Group of Hotels, Prasar Bharti, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Bank of Baroda, Vodafone etc. 

Dr. Daisy Chauhan has done consultancy for companies like Bharat Seats, IFCI,  BSNL, LNG Petronet,  DMRC etc.
