Dr. Neera Jain is a Professor in the area of Business Communication at MDI Gurgaon. Dr Jain has obtained her M. Phil and Ph.D degrees from Aligarh Muslim University¸ Aligarh, India in 1990 and 1993 respectively. She is a licensed Practitioner of Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP). She is also an accredited trainer on MBTI and FIRO-B from APP. She has been certified for the use of CPI 260 - a leadership development tool by California Psychologists (CPP). She has a Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English (PGCTE) from the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL), Hyderabad and has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) of UGC. A first divisioner and topper all through her education, she was awarded Departmental Research Fellowship by Aligarh Muslim University during Ph. D and National Merit Scholarship by School Education Board during Senior Secondary for excellence in education.

Dr. Jain has taught and researched at reputed colleges including engineering and management institutes for about 27 years. She is actively involved in research¸ teaching¸ training and development at MDI. Her publications include research papers and case studies in reputed national, international journals and publishing houses like IVEY and Harvard Publishing. She has completed two externally funded research projects: “Communication Patterns and Personality Types of Indian Women Leaders” and “Crisis Communication in Organizations”. She has presented papers in International conferences. Her book on “Effective Business Communication” published by McGraw Hill has widely been appreciated. She is on the editorial board of many reputed international journals to review research papers, case studies, and other publications. As a business communication professional, she keeps working with many academic and professional institutes for designing and revamping their communication courses.

Dr. Jain has received MDI’s coveted Awards for ‘Excellence in Teaching”, 2010-11 and Excellence in Continuing Education (Training), 2016-17 and acknowledged for Excellence in Continuing Education (Training) 2017-18.

Her main areas of interest and specialization include: Business and Managerial Communication, Leadership Communication, Cross cultural Communication, Women Leadership and Negotiation Skills.

She was invited as a visiting faculty for taking International Seminar (a course of 24 hrs) on “Managerial Communication Competencies” in IAE AIX – Graduate School of Management, France, (EQUIS AND AMBA accredited) for two years during 2012 and 2013.

She has been a visiting faculty in other reputed B Schools in India like IIM Lucknow (2017 onwards) and IIFT Delhi (2017).

In MDI Gurgaon, she teaches core courses like Managerial Communication, Effective Business Communication, Oral Communication and Presentation Skills, Written Analysis and Communication in Post Graduate Programme in Management, Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management, Post Graduate Programme in International Management, National Management Programme, Executive Management Programme, and Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy Management.

Her elective courses on Negotiation Skills, Effective Communication through Theatre Techniques are subscribed heavily by participants in long duration and executive programmes.

She started Fellow Programme in Management and Executive Fellow Programme in Management in Business Communication area at MDI in 2007 and developed various core and elective courses like Organizational Communication, Cross Cultural Communication, Leadership Communication, Computer Mediated Communication, and Case Writing for these programmes.

Dr. Jain has received MDI’s coveted Award for “Excellence in Teaching” in 2010-11.

She has conducted Training Programme for a Japanese Company, Teijin for two years. Currently she is doing Leadership and Communication Programme with National Banking Institute of Nepal. Participants from other countries attend her Open programmes on different aspects of communication.

She has been associated with many reputed organizations like Teijin (Japanese), Vodafone, Hero Future Group, NSPCL, HAL, IOCL for consulting assignments and developing training modules by assessing their training needs and customizing programmes according to their requirements.
