Information Technology (IT)-Business alignment is critical for firm performance in contemporary organizations. Yet it remains elusive for many organizations. Foundation of IT-Business alignment is a robust IT Portfolio Quality that emerges from routines to shape demand. When the IT function engages with business managers, it promotes understanding of how IT resources are procured, implemented, and measured. This fosters institutional knowledge of the IT investment process and results in a robust IT Portfolio Quality.
In the next research seminar series to be held on 14 December 2022 at MDI Campus, effects of six routines - cost transparency, roadmapping, and strategic program management, agile methods, business relationship management and post implementation value assessment -- that influence IT Portfolio Quality will be discussed. The seminar will be moderated by Prof. Sangeeta S. Bharadwaj and Prof. Nakul Gupta from Information Management Area, MDI Gurgaon.
