Profile

Dr. Shamita Garg holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Her doctoral research focuses on the globalization and Deglobalization strategies. Before joining MDI, she was a faculty member in IIM Shillong. Previously, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India) and OP Jindal Global University (India). She has eight publications in reputed international journals (including three in 'A' and two in ‘B’). Apart from international publications, she has two book chapters and two papers in conference proceedings. She was an active member of the Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management and presented papers at conferences such as AIB Conference, GLOGIFT, Academy for Global Business Advancement, and PAN IIT. She is Ad hoc reviewer of International Journal of Global Business and Competitiveness (IJGBC), Benchmarking: An International Journal, Digital policy, regulation and governance, Cogent Business & Management. 

Her teaching interests include Strategic Management, Corporate Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurial Environment, Managing Creativity and Innovation.

Her research interest span across International Business Management, Globalization Strategies, Reshoring, Strategies for Sustainable Business.
