On May 13, 2024, the MDI community was deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed colleague, Professor Kanwal Nayan Kapil. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a guiding light and mentor whose impact will endure through the lives he touched. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire MDI community as we honor the memory of Prof. Kapil.
Dr. Kanwal Kapi held a PhD and MBA in marketing, boasting a rich of experience in both industry and academia. Prior to his tenure in academia, he contributed his expertise to esteemed companies such as Chemtrol Technologies, L&T, and Cipla, where he excelled in product and brand management, successfully launching several brands. Joining MDI in 2007 as an Associate Professor, Dr. Kapil was later promoted to Professor in 2017. His professional journey also included roles as Deputy Director at IPM and as an Assistant Professor at IMT Ghaziabad.
An active contributor to executive education, consulting, and research, Dr. Kapil leaves behind a prolific legacy, marked by the publication of three books, numerous research papers, and case studies in esteemed international and national journals.
In his passing, we reflect not only on Dr. Kapil's academic accomplishments but also on his unwavering commitment to shaping future leaders. May he rest in peace, leaving behind an enduring legacy.
