Data Analytics Without Coding
Decision making is at the heart of every manager. A large part of a firm’s success depends upon how managers decide and the process becomes complicated when they are surrounded by multiple sources of data. With growing forms of data and computing skills, the manager’s job is to update himself/herself with the skill to understand the nuances of analytical and logical decision making using the right form of data. While firms continue to invest in the new age technological and analytical solutions, it becomes critical for the managers to invest in learning and practising analytics simultaneously while they are on the job. More often firms hire new resources that are well versed with analytics but lack the essence of business. It is also reported that analytical abilities of managers are often sharp but they lack in understanding the nuances of coding. This impacts their efficiency. This programme helps business professionals learn and implement advanced analytics tools on “no coding” tools that are used in various industries and are open source. This in turn helps them save cost and improves their abilities to take decisions.
Objectives
The programme on “Data Analytics Without coding” offers a bouquet of analytical skills ranging from a traditional Excel-based decision making to a visually appealing software. The course aims to nurture the art of understanding data, its forms, its application in decision making and analysing the results and prepare the participants to ask the right questions before making decisions. The course balances between theory and practical understanding of dealing with data drawn from real cases from the industry. The datasets are picked from various business functions across industries to give a holistic process. This diversifies learning and makes the attendees aware about how other firms take decisions and how they can capitalise on them in similar situations in their respective organisations. The course uses open-source software like Orange and Teachable Machine (and MS Excel to some extent) to expose the participants to practical learning with different forms of data. The three-day programme will also aid in capacity building of employees at various levels and increase awareness of how they can take wiser and effective decisions in their routine lifestyle. The programme uses simulated datasets to make the participants experience real-life scenarios and evolve their decision-making skills through discussions and debate on data and the process.
