Mobile Application for the 12th AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium and International Marketing Conference 2025

This privacy policy governs the“IMCDC 2025”mobile application (the “App”) developed for the 12th AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium and International Marketing Conference 2025, organized by the Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon committee organizing the conference, in partnership with the Academy of Indian Marketing (AIM) and the AMA Sheth Foundation.

The App has been developed to support conference participants by providing access to program schedules, speaker information, venue details, and general conference-related content.

The app does not prompt users for login or registration. It does not collect, store, or display any personal information. The app is designed with privacy and compliance as a priority, ensuring no user-identifiable data is shown within the application.

  1. Purpose of the App

    The App is designed as an academic and informational tool. It provides participants with digital access to the conference schedule, session details, speaker information, and venue maps, supporting academic engagement during the event.

  2. What Participant Information Is Displayed

    The App does not display any participant personal information. No names, email addresses, or personal profiles are collected, processed, or shown within the app interface.

  3. How Data Is Handled

    The app operates in a read-only format. No user data is collected or transmitted. All content is static or served from the conference backend, excluding any personally identifiable information.

  4. What the App Does Not Do

    To ensure transparency, the App does not:

    • Collect or store personal data
    • Track user behavior or activity within the app
    • Collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
    • Use location services or geolocation tracking
    • Serve advertising or content based on personal profiling
    • Provide third-party access to any user information
    • Prompt for login/registration
    • Use third-party analytics SDKs or crash-reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, etc.)
    1. App Permissions

      The App does not request access to:

      • Contacts
      • Camera or microphone
      • Location services
      • Device storage or media files
      • Background app activity

      This reinforces our minimal-permission, privacy-respecting design philosophy.

  5. Legal Basis and Consent

    As the app does not collect or display user information, no explicit consent is required. The application is fully compliant with application store’s privacy standards and user protection requirements.

  6. Security Measures

    The App and backend systems are developed with industry-standard security protocols:

    • All communication with backend endpoints is encrypted using HTTPS
    • Backend access is controlled and logged
    • No local storage or persistent caching of user data occurs

    Backend access is limited to authorized MDI conference committee members only, and all logs are audited internally.

  7. Children’s Privacy

    The App is designed for academic professionals and postgraduate-level attendees. It is not intended for children, and no data is knowingly collected from users under the age of 13.

  8. Updates to the Policy

    This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in App functionality or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels.

    Any updates to this policy will be reflected in the App's privacy section and made available on the official conference website.

    This Privacy Policy is developed in alignment with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including but not limited to:

    • The Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 under the IT Act, 2000 (India)
    • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU), to the extent applicable for international participants
    • The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (U.S.), by designating the app as not intended for children under 13

    The App adheres to the principles of data minimization, purpose limitation, and user consent. It avoids any unnecessary collection, storage, or transfer of personal information.
