Applicants must have a COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT 2026) to be eligible for admission to the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-Business Analytics & PGDM-BFS programs of MDI Gurgaon and PGDM program of MDI Murshidabad. However, applicants applying exclusively to the PGDM-IB programme may also apply using GMAT scores obtained from tests taken between 1 January and 28 November 2026 exclusively at a GMAT test centre (not online) as an alternative to CAT 2026 score.
Please note that the GMAT 2026 score is applicable only for admission to the PGDM-IB programme and cannot be used for admission to other programmes.

The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/ institution /board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDI by multiplying the obtained CGPA with the factor of 9.5.

* At Stage-II, the weightage for Academic Diversity (Engineer/Non-Engineer) will be replaced by the candidate’s QA and DILR performance in CAT 2026; all other criteria will remain the same as for other programmes.
NOTE: There is a single unified application form for all programmes. Applicants need to select all programmes (PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/ PGDM-Business Analytics & PGDM-BFS) they wish to apply for.
Shortlisting of candidates for the WAT-GD-PI process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT 2026 scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interviews between February and April 2027 at a center in one of the following cities: Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Centers other than Gurugram are tentative.
The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT-2026 scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment Test, Academic Merit, Academic Diversity, Work Experience, and Social Diversity etc. The admission criteria have also been posted on the MDI Gurgaon website.
NRI and International Students (Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India, and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf countries) applying to PGDM, PGDM-HRM, or PGDM-IB at MDI Gurgaon, and/or the PGDM programme at MDI Murshidabad, are required to pay an online application fee of Rs.8,496 (inclusive of 18% GST).
Applicants may apply on the basis of a valid GMAT score. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interviews in April 2027. Admission and determination of candidate status will be governed by the applicable Government of India (GoI) rules and guidelines.

MDI reserves the right to revise fees and other charges at any time during the Academic Year, with prior notice provided before such changes take effect.
MDI uses CAT scores for Indian Candidates for shortlisting the candidates for its programmes. Indian candidates can not apply on the basis of their GMAT score. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in conducting the programme.
