MDI Gurgaon welcomed its 7th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Online Programme

The PGDM Online-VII (January 2026, 7th Batch) was inaugurated on January 25, 2026, with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Chief Guest Mr. Pratyush Rahul (Head- Recruitment of Tech Mahindra Ltd.) and various professors from MDI Gurgaon.

 

Prof. Vidhu Gaur, Chairperson of PGDM Online, welcomed everyone and delivered a welcome address that beautifully set the tone, weaving in the timeless wisdom of actively engaging, challenging ideas, and balancing rigour with reflection, all while reminding us that management is about values and ethics as well as skills.

 

Prof. Saikat Banerjee, Faculty in Charge of PGDM Online, welcomed everyone back and introduced the chief guest, He reviewed the program structure and encouraged students to dig beyond textbooks, integrate disciplines, think critically, and find innovative answers to today's global challenges.

 

Prof. Sangeeta Bharadwaj, Dean-Executive Graduate Programmes, congratulated all students, highlighted MDI's rank and three international accreditations, which indicate where we are, and addressed "VUCA" (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguity) and reminded that every student at MDI Gurgaon is more than just a learner; they are brand ambassadors shaping the program's future.

 

Prof. Arvind Sahay, Director MDI Gurgaon, interacted with all students and understood the objective for doing this programme. He discussed the three (E)s empower, equip, encourage and reminded the group to balance work, family, and education while being grounded in hard work. He claimed that growth is the result of effort, time management, and curiosity.

 

Mr. Pratyush Rahul, the Chief Guest, reminded everyone that genuine leadership is based on continual learning, adaptation, and being human at its core. In a changing world, he believes that attention, curiosity, networking, cross-functional learning, and empathy are the true currency of growth, urging the batch to learn aggressive behaviour, content, and continue to evolve.
