A New Journey Begins | PGDM Online-VIII (October 2026) batch
MDI Gurgaon warmly welcomed the PGDM Online-VIII batch for October 2026 with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising the beginning of a new journey of learning, growth, and transformation.
The inauguration was graced by Dr. Pooja Sehgal, Country Lead- Health & Nutrition Communications, Gates Foundation as a chief guest, along with Prof. Sangeeta S. Bhardwaj, Dean-Executive Graduate Programmes, PGDM Online programme, and Prof. Saikat Banerjee, Faculty In-Charge, PGDM Online programme & Prof. Mohita Maggon, Faculty In-Charge, Admissions & Career Support, PGDM Online Programme.
Prof. Arvind Sahay, Director, MDI Gurgaon, in his recorded message to the cohort, that the true value of the programme lies in their own commitment to learning: “Learning demands effort, engagement and emotional energy. Make the most of your peers, learn deeply from your faculty, and use AI to enhance, not replace, your thinking.”
Dr. Pooja Sehgal urged the cohort to embrace curiosity and the courage to begin again: “Leave your job title outside the door for the next two years. The most useful thing this programme gives you is permission to be a beginner again.” She also highlighted the importance of critical thinking in an AI-enabled world.
Prof. Sangeeta S Bhardwaj encouraged learners to look beyond individual roles and departments, saying: “You have to rise above individual and departmental silos to the level of the organisation as a whole. Every employee contributes to that value, and your task is to keep enhancing that value creation.”
