From Old Gadgets to New Possibilities: MDI Gurgaon Goes Green!

October 11, 2026

Something exciting is happening at MDI Gurgaon!

Old phones, forgotten chargers, unused cables, and other electronic items are finding their way out of drawers and cupboards and into responsible recycling!

The CERO–MDI Gurgaon E-Waste Collection Drive, in association with Karo Sambhav, is underway, and the enthusiasm across campus is encouraging!

Students, faculty, and staff are joining hands to make a difference. Adding momentum to the initiative, Prof. Arvind Sahay, Director, MDI Gurgaon, contributed his own e-waste, setting an example and encouraging the community to participate.

And the excitement doesn't stop there!

On Sunday, 11 October, sustainability takes a playful turn as we bring together children from the campus for a special session filled with games, creative activities, and hands-on learning. The idea is simple: help our youngest community members discover that even small everyday choices can make a big difference to the environment.

The drive continues until 14 October, International E-Waste Day, giving everyone an opportunity to clear out unused electronics while contributing to a more responsible and sustainable future.

Because sustainability isn't just something we discuss in classrooms. It is something we can practise, together, every day.

One campus. One collective effort. Many small actions that can make a big difference!
