April 18, 2026
It's an honor that Dr. Niva Bhandari served as a keynote speaker at the Conclave on Indian Knowledge System on April 18th, hosted by JIET DMS. Dr. Niva Bhandari delivered insights on "Ethical Leadership and Sustainable Development Based on Dharma-based Values", exploring the intersection of ancient spiritual wisdom and modern management & governance.
She argued that Dharma is not merely religion but a universal code of conduct, righteousness, and the natural law that sustains the world. In Dharmic thought, sustainability becomes a fundamental prerequisite for existence. She reiterated that Dharmic leadership requires a depth of moral cultivation that goes far beyond compliance training or ethical guidelines. Dharma must be translated from philosophical discourse into action, systems, structures, KPIs, and governance protocols. When Dharma drives budgets, hiring decisions, and performance reviews, it has been institutionalised; when it remains a value statement on the office wall, it has not.
She further enriched the discussions further as a panelist, engaging with fellow experts on key challenges and their resolutions. For the students, she emphasized the significance of maintaining a moral compass in life.
