The Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon is pleased to announce that its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program has been accepted into the prestigious CFA Institute University Affiliation Program (UAP). This recognition places MDI Gurgaon among a select group of 39 institutions in India, including premier IIMs and other leading B-schools, that align closely with global standards in finance and investment education.
Through this affiliation, the PGDM program has been acknowledged as covering at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and incorporating the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct—reinforcing the program’s academic rigor and industry relevance.
A Student-Led Initiative
This milestone was made possible through the sustained efforts of MDI Gurgaon’s student leadership over three academic years. Academic Secretaries Pratyush Mishra (PGDM 2023–25), Animesh Verma (PGDM 2022–24), and Vipul Pitaliya (PGDM 2024–26) spearheaded the initiative from inception to implementation. Their commitment included driving the application process, coordinating with institutional stakeholders, and overseeing the affiliation and scholarship facilitation.
They were supported by Bhargav Kumare (PGDM 2024–26), who played a key role in research, documentation, and liaison efforts throughout the process.
MDI Gurgaon extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Arvind Sahay, Director, MDI Gurgaon, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support that ensured the successful culmination of this initiative. His guidance reinforced the institute’s mission to foster excellence in finance education with a strong ethical foundation.

Joining the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to students, recruiters, and the broader marketplace that MDI Gurgaon’s curriculum is aligned with international best practices in investment management. It enhances student preparedness for careers in finance, consulting, and asset management, and positions them to pursue the CFA® charter, a globally respected credential in the finance world.
As a participating institution, MDI Gurgaon students will now be eligible for a limited number of CFA Program Student Scholarships each year.
